A few web sites have been really helpful in my research. While many are commercial sites, the information is often easier to read and understand than that of the more scientific sites. Also, commercial sites tend to include a lot of information in their attempt to sell you their product, whereas research sites can be a little stingy with their information, especially if they are sponsored by a company that is working on a product to treat the conditions we are researching. So there is a lot to sift through, and we must always keep in mind the motives of the site creators. Sites listed here may be commercial sites selling products. As always, the link from my page does not constitute an endorsement for said products, nor am I promoting any of these products. I can not be responsible for the accuracy of information contained on these pages. I offer them purely for your own research purposes, and it is solely up to you as an individual to decide what is fact and what is fiction.

My initial research was pretty scattered and I will gather what I can into one place here so that you can trace my footsteps to some degree, but a lot of what I relied on while developing my theory was just the connections I made in my mind, and those will not show up in the research. I will try to note the conclusions I have drawn from various research.

The first site I would like to list is Dr. Fungus. I found this site very useful. On their "About Us" page, they state:

“This web site, www.doctorfungus.org, is owned by the DoctorFungus Corporation and is dedicated to timely dissemination of information about fungal infections via the world-wide web. DoctorFungus gratefully acknowledges the funding for this project that it has received from its pharmaceutical Sponsors.”

Another site I found useful because it really opened my eyes to the similarities between the symptoms of HS sufferers and those of people who suffered from a Candida overgrowth is this one: http://www.candidasupport.org. It's a commercial site selling a product called ThreeLac. When I first mentioned my theory on a forum and said I was considering using this product, I also stated that I would consider selling it if it worked. I got a lot of negative response from that! But the main reason I considered selling it (if it worked) was to increase availability of the product. If you go to the home page for this product, you can see that it is distributed through a limited number of individuals, and can not be purchased in most retail stores. Another site, found here: http://www.123candida.com offers an opportunity to become a distributor for only $29.95. So I considered becoming a distributor. I have yet to try this product, but hopefully I can afford to purchase ThreeLac next week. If I decide to try it, I will report my results. Who knows, by next week I may not need it at the rate I am currently healing. But I have decided definitely that I will not become a distributor just because of all the controversy surrounding my first mention of the product. Regardless of the product, there is important information on some of these pages where it is sold.

Another Candida page, The National Candida Society in the UK further illuminated the similarities between Candida overgrowth and HS.

My research topics were rather varied, as you can see on the page I have created here: Random Research 1. Unfortunately, I have no idea where I copied all of this information. As you can see, many topics are covered, and there is no organization to it. I just copied and pasted random information from websites into a word file. I hope I don't get sued for posting it here, especially since I can not reference the sources. I was definitely researching depression and diabetes, as well as the whole endocrine system when I copied this text.
